JANE METCALFE (violin/viola) studied at the Royal College of Music and went on to teach violin and viola at schools including More House, Francis Holland, Queens Gate, Stowe, Hurstpierpoint College, Westminster School, Colet Court and St Pauls, St Benedicts Junior School, Wimbledon High School and The Study. She also teaches at the Colourstrings Music School on Saturdays and does occasional freelance orchestral viola playing, mainly on baroque and classical instruments. She has played with groups including Academy of Ancient Music, English Baroque Soloists, English Bach Festival, Kings Consort, Les Musiciens du Louvre, Cambridge Baroque Camerata and the English Haydn Orchestra.
